Thursday, November 11, 2021, a deer crashed through our storefront window and was inside for almost an hour. When the Walker Police entered the building to 'scare him out', he exited through the broken window he had entered through. It broke our hearts to see this poor deer hurt and we hope he is healing and running free - in the woods!
Unfortunately, during all of this time, the 4-point buck left quite a blood trail, necessitating the help of BioOne crime scene clean-up specialists to come in. We needed to have all of our carpet ripped up ... hence our new 'flooring'! Many items needed to be taken away because they were contaminated.
We have worked as fast as we can to get the store looking presentable so that we could reopen and serve all of our loyal customers! Please bear with us during the next couple of months until our new carpet arrives and is installed. In the meantime, we are SO HAPPY to see all of you and are very thankful that no one was hurt. Thank you for all of the kind words and for those that have helped out!
